About Us
Michael G. Rouse, CMCA, President
Michael was President of The Windsong Condominiums for six years. Under his leadership, Windsong made a transformation from being a distressed community to an award winning one. Michael currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI) and is Chairperson for the Programs & Education Committee. He has spoken before the Colorado State House regarding SB100 on behalf of CAI. Michael is one of the few community association volunteer leaders to obtain a Certified Manager of Community Association certificate. He has written several articles on community association issues which have been published in the National and Local CAI newsletters.
Michael feels educated board members make better decisions and work better within their communities. He believes management companies can only be as good as their boards and boards can only be as good as their board members.
Michael has an extensive thirty year background in the computer industry and has worked nationally and internationally as a director, corporate consultant, project manager, and software developer.
Phyllis Rouse, Vice President
Phyllis has been an active member of Windsong Condominium Homeowner Association since 2002 and has served as a member of the Block Party, Garage Sale and Newsletter committees. She is currently co-editor of Windsong’s quarterly newsletter. Phyllis has successfully completed Community Association Institute’s (CAI) workshop, “Essentials of Community Association Volunteer Leadership.”
Phyllis is retired from the New York City Department of Education where her career spanned over thirty three years. For the last nine of those years, she was an elementary school Principal. In her role as Principal, Phyllis was responsible for the overall operation of a school with an enrollment of 1100 students and 75 staff members. Phyllis strongly believes that many of the successful strategies she implemented to manage her school can be applied to the running of community associations.
Phyllis was a member of the Bay Ridge, New York Business and Professional Women’s Association (BPW) and served as President, Secretary and Treasurer for the organization.
